The Child Care Barrier Report Webinar

Generation Hope’s upcoming Scholar Child Care Report highlights the complicated waters student parents navigate in order to pursue higher education while simultaneously caring for themselves and their families.

The report highlights three key findings – directly informed by Generation Hope’s current student-parent Scholars – on the caregiving needs and experiences of student-parents:

1. How student parents prioritize their child care responsibilities while attending school,
2. The impact being a parent and caregiver has on their academic and personal wellbeing, and
3. The types of institutional support student parents are seeking from their college and university campuses.

Please join us on Thursday, March 23rd at 2:00PM ET, as we host a special webinar to engage a panel of child care experts in a conversation on the report findings, especially as they relate to student parents in the DC region. We look forward to having you join us!

Generation Hope Policy and Advocacy Webinar

1 in 5 of today's college students is parenting. And yet, despite having higher GPAs than their peers without dependents, 52% of undergraduate student parents left school without a degree within six years, compared to 32% of students without children. The student parent movement is gaining momentum, and there is so much work to be done.
